Official Languages

The official languages of the Congress are all Slavic languages and English. No simultaneous translation will be provided. Oral presentations and posters can be in one of the official congress languages but Abstracts and all PowerPoint slides at presentation (lecture, poster or e-poster) must be in British English.

Registration and Information Desk

The Registration Desk for the Congress will be located at the congress venue.

Congress Identification Badge

A Congress identification badge will be included in the Congress material provided upon Registration. There will be no admittance to the Scientific Sessions without the Congress badge. Tickets to social events will be collected at the entrance.

Attendance Certificate

A Certificate of Attendance will be issued on request.

Liability and Insurance

All participants are reminded that neither the Organizing Committee not technical organizer are liable for any losses, accidents, or damage to persons or private property. Participants and accompanying persons are requested to make their own arrangements in respect of health and travel insurance.

Letter of Invitation/Visa Requirements

For citizens of many but not all countries, a valid passport (or a personal identity card for residents of EU) is sufficient to enter Croatia.

Participants, who require an entry visa for Croatia, are kindly asked to check the information available on the website of the Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs:


The Visa Application Process is as follows:

As a general rule, one applies for a visa personally at the competent Croatian Embassy/Consulate or the Visa Application Centre.

Aliens shall enclose the following documents with the application:

•    valid travel document; the period of validity of the travel document should exceed that of the visa's by three months, it must include at least two empty pages and must be issued in the preceding 10 years;

•    colour photo 35x45 mm;

•    supporting documents that prove: the purpose of the journey to Croatia, ensured accommodation, means of subsistence to cover their stay in Croatia and the return to their country of origin or to a third country, means of transport and their intention to return to their country of origin or to a third country;

•    travel health insurance - to cover any expenses which might arise during the stay in Croatia in connection with: urgent medical attention and/or emergency hospital treatment, or repatriation in the country of residence for medical reasons, or transportation in the event of death. The minimum coverage shall be the equivalent of EUR 30,000;

•    visa fee is charged at the moment of submitting the visa application and amounts to € 60/ $ 67.

The organiser is authorised to demand payment of registration fee before the visa procedure starts. Please note that all costs are to be covered by the participant (verification tax and DHL post costs if needed).


During session breaks refreshments will be available to participants wearing Congress identification badges.

Credit Cards

All major credit cards, such as American Express, Visa, Eurocard/Mastercard, Diners, are widely accepted in hotels, restaurants, and shops.


Electricity in Croatia is 220V, 50Hz. Continental Europe (Schuko) plugs are used.

Drinking Water

Tap water is safe to drink in Dubrovnik.
